Description
The BT-20 butyl sealant tape is a non-setting, permanently flexible rubber sealant supplied on a silicone release liner. It is applied to TDC and TDF flange faces before assembly, forming a compressed gasket seal that accommodates joint irregularities and thermal movement. Unlike liquid sealants, butyl tape requires no cure time and can be repositioned during installation. It remains effective from –30 °C to +80 °C and is resistant to moisture, ageing, and UV exposure.
